Today we were invited along to Guelph for lunch and to visit a maple syrup farm! Very Canadian indeed!
Guelph is a small city halfway between Toronto and London, and is very unlike any other North American city we have visited. The city doesn’t follow the usual ‘grid’ layout that other North American cities follow, but instead has the twisting roads and point-converging streets that are similar to English towns.
After a Mexican lunch in town, we headed to the maple syrup farm just out of town. The flat farming landscaping reminded Craig a lot of home.
The farm was good fun, even if it was too cold to see any syrup being harvested from the trees. We did however make some furry friends in the petting zoo, especially Billy the endlessly hungry goat. We decided not to get too close to make friends with the skunk however…
